The Participy App helps you to be always in control of planning your next event. Who are the guests? Where and when is the event? Who is bringing this and who is bringing that? Participy makes planning easier, so you can make sure that everything is thought out at your next birthday party or for the next barbeque with your friends and you have more time to make it unforgettable.
How does Participy work? Create your own event or join an already existing event. You can join an event by using the event code via the ‘Join’ button or clicking on the event link. Both of these are accessed through the event creator or one of the admins. You can create your own event through the ‘create’ button. As an event creator, you can set general information such as the name of the event, date, time and address. Furthermore, you can limit the maximum amount of participants and choose between different options for how potential participants can join the event.
On the same screen, you can specify if an account is needed to join the event or not, as well as how participants of the event can add items. Important to know is that as an event creator or admin, you must have an account. If you do not already have one, you can create an account via the profile icon in the upper right corner.
In the next step, you can immediately add participants from your contact list with an existing account. Also, participants can be added manually, per event code or event link later on, so do not worry about that! Further, you have the option to give participants of your choice admin rights. Admins have the same rights as event creators.
In the next screen, you have the possibility to add items that are needed for your event. You can see through the search field if the item needed already exists in our database. If yes, you can add it per click. If not, you can add a new item by entering the item name and choosing the item category.
After creating or joining an event, you will see all events as an event preview on your home screen. Thereby, you can see through the status icon in the event preview if you are already a verified participant or if the confirmation of your participation is still ongoing. Of course, as creator or admin, you are automatically a verified participant of the event. Additionally, that will be signalized with a red triangle in the upper left corner of the event preview.
Also, the event creator and the admins will be shown a red circle in the upper right corner of the event preview in case participants or admins have to be confirmed or declined.
